Mudavadi opens up the lid for the push for referendum

ANC Leader Musalia Mudavadi is back after a period of silence. Musalia Mudavadi who was out of the country for sometime has come up again to slam the selfish individuals pushing for the constitutional reform.

Musalia Mudavadi who has boldly expressed his interest to take up the mantle of leadership from President Uhuru Kenyatta has said that those pushing for referendum should do so with the Mwananchi interests in their hearts and not for their own personal gains.

This sentiments come as the push for referendum has taken new twists in the recent times. Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga last week hinted of a referendum around the corner backed by University student leaders.

Several other people have also had different opinions. The Third Way Alliance by Ekuru Aukot has made milestone in the collection of signatures as they recorded to have reached 1.4 million which is beyond the threshold required.

Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has also added weight to this debate suggesting the extension of Presidential term limit which he later retrieved saying he was misquoted.

Many other leaders and legislatures have suggested different issues which they want to be addressed in the call for referendum. But with Mudavadi latest call most of them are expected to align their demands with the nation’s interests
