Kericho Governor Paul Chepkwony has excited netizens after he addressed a crowd at Kericho High School on Friday while donning the school’s uniform.
The second-term governor, who is an alumnus of the institution, borrowed a tie and blazer from the School Captain before he went to the podium.
Chepkwony was the chief guest during the school’s prize-giving ceremony and he explained that he wore the uniform to motivate the students.
“I’m going to shed off the governorship and become the captain of Kericho High School right now,” he stated.
While congratulating teachers at the institution for exemplary results in last year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, Chepkwony stated that he was proud to be associated with them.
He went on to explain that he is an example that anyone who is focused and has the right mindset can make it.
