Police in Bomet have finally arrested their counterpart accused of defiling a form two student and thereafter involving her in a road accident. Residents of Bomet have been up in arms for the past week calling out for the arrest of an officer stationed at Mogosiek police post whom they accused of injuring the girl thereafter in an attempt to conceal evidence.
According to the residents, the officer was caught pants down after his female counterpart raised alarm. According to Samoei Bii a local, the officer duped the girl’s parents that he would help them get to the hospital to prove he had done nothing wrong.
“The cop duped parents of the girl to use his vehicle to drive the girl and his father to Tenwek Hospital to confirm the defilement. Unfortunately, the car was involved in an accident on the way. The girl was critically injured and is admitted at Litein Hospital,” said Bii.
Bii alleged the officer had a penchant for having affairs with school going girls. The incident was booked in at Mogosiek Police station under Occurrence Book number 24 on Thursday, February 14 at 4:30pm.
