It is now clear that not all men are attending the #menconference2019 that has been trending for the past couple of days.
Well, there is actually no conference and rather the hashtag was jokingly started to counter the Valentine’s Day celebrations and the pressure that comes with it.
Men, whose wallets are usually burnt every February 14, decided to find a way to avoid spending tonnes of money on their women by making the excuse they were attending a ‘serious’ men’s conference in the run up to lovers’ day.
In a tweet on Friday, Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka had to clarify that he is at the two day senate leadership retreat as opposed to attending the hyped “men’s conference”
