Kenya Railways has today cautioned the public following an unfortunate incident of an accident which involved a member of public being hit by the train.
According to their issued statement, Kenya Railways indicated that the accident happened on Thursday morning 14th February.
The Railway management asked the public to keep safe when they are near the railway line at stations and also on board the train. They also gave a sincere apology for the unfortunate incident.
The Kenya railways also informed the public that the NRB commuter rail services will continue as per the usual schedule in the evening.
They also noted that the incident which happened in the morning had caused disruption in the service and a gross inconvenience to commuters.’
A couple days ago, a Kenyan online claimed that she had been arrested for taking photos on the railway line.
The individual also warned the public over doing such or even randomly walking on the railway line saying that it poses great danger in their lives.
Following this incident Kenyans have been urged to be more careful to avoid such cases from happening.
