There is a saying in the corridors of Justice about Lawyer Cliff Ombeta. They say if Cliff Ombeta is your lawyer, then you are guilty. Cliff Ombeta has represented many people among them the Akasha brothers who are facing cases of drug trafficking in a US court.
During their trial here in Kenya, Ombeta cried in court saying his clients were innocent people who were helping the society. Later they pleaded guilty to different charges.
Ombeta is currently representing Migori governor Okoth Obado. Obado is facing a double murder charger of killing his then girlfriend Sharon Otieno and their seven month unborn baby.
The high profile case will begin in May this year. Obado has already tested prison life for more than one month and only has Ombeta to thank for his freedom. The lawyer ensured he was released on bail pending the hearing and determination of his case.
But as Obado awaits his day in the courts, his lawyer has been busy representing another murder suspect. Obado is representing Judy Wangui, the main suspect in the brutal murder of businesswoman Mary Wambui.
As things stand, Wangui is a guilty woman and she is going down! Can Cliff Ombeta safe her ass?
