Chelsea reveal the real man set to replace Sarri

Maurizio Sarri’s time at Stamford Bridge is nearing the end. Or is it? His performance at Chelsea has not been appealing, and as per the trend of Abrahimovic, no one is allowed to stay is he doesn’t see performance.

Chelsea now want to bring in Zinedine Zidane as manager to replace under-pressure Maurizio Sarri, according to reports.

The club are said to be ready to ditch their Italian boss after just eight months in charge, with a mid-season slump seeing the Blues slip to sixth in the Premier League table.

Sarri has also lost the backing of the dressing room after a number of outbursts at the team, with players reportedly being left ‘baffled’ by the boss’ team selection.

Accoring to the Sun, there is growing support in the Chelsea hierarchy for ex-Real Madrid head coach Zidane to come to Stamford Bridge to help turn the Blues back into a European superpower.

The report claims talks between the top brass have advanced this week over when they should make their move, with Sunday’s humiliating 6-0 thrashing at Manchester City signaling the beginning of the end for Sarri’s short reign.

Zidane’s quite incredible Champions League record, taking Real to a record-breaking three consecutive European titles, is a massive draw for the Chelsea board.

The 46-year-old is still yet to take a job since leaving the Bernabeu in May.

Zidane is apparently very keen to take charge of a Premier League club, and has been heavily linked with replacing Jose Mourinho as permanent manager of Manchester United.

But with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now leading the running for that role, Chelsea believe they have an opportunity to snap up World Cup winner Zidane.

His appointment would be brilliant news for the club’s quest to keep hold of star man Eden Hazard. The Belgian flyer has idolised Zidane since he was a boy and his arrival could convince Hazard to stay and sign a new deal, amid links with a mega-money move to Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, reports in Spain claim Chelsea players are confused by Sarri’s team selection this season, and want N’Golo Kante to be moved back to his natural holding midfield position.

The World Cup winner is regarded as one of the best, if not THE best, defensive midfielder on the planet, but has been moved to a more advanced position this term to make room for summer signing Jorginho. The Frenchman’s presence in front of the back-four has been sorely missed.
