Why legendary keeper is warning teammates ahead of Manchester United meeting

Gianluigi Buffon has warned his Paris Saint-Germain teammates they will need a better mentality and attitude if they are to beat Manchester United on Tuesday night. United were huge outsiders when the draw was made last year due to their poor form, but, a change of manager and a run of 11 games unbeaten means Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side now go in to the game on a level pegging with the French champions.Image result for gianluigi buffon psg getty images

“We have to improve mentally and in our attitude, to have more of a spirit of sacrifice for the team. On Tuesday we have a very important match and we will have to do better. I believe we have to get better in everything because we will play against a team and in a stadium which will oblige us to be more solid and have a different attitude.”Image result for gianluigi buffon psg getty images

Tuchel also finds himself in the midst of an injury crisis with Neymar ruled out along with right back Thomas Meunier. Edinson Cavani, who scored PSG’s only goal from the penalty spot on Saturday, is also a big doubt after coming off injured in the win. Tuchel will face the media on Monday evening and will be able to give an update on his players’ availability.Gianluigi Buffon.

Former Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini said of that contest: “I think Manchester United are the favourites. With the confidence, they have at the moment, and how they play, I think they are favourites. But it’s a Champions League match, in the round of 16, so it’ll be 50-50. PSG have great players but they have two or three players injured. I think Manchester United have the advantage.”
