Sonko pours large sums of cash to help trace missing activist

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has always surprised Kenyans. His undoubted ‘selflesness’ especially to the less priviledged citizens, it is something that each politician should look up to. From his intial ‘Sonko Rescue Team’ that would assist to ferry people to their weddings, escort grieving families to funerals, provide water to the slums among others. Sonko has always been one step ahead. This is always a win for him, probably this is why he was able to take up the gubernatorial seat so easily don’t you agree?

In the recent news of the missing human rights Dandora activist, Sonko has thus offered Sh300,000 reward for information on Caroline Mwatha. Mwatha was a senior official at Dandora Community Social Justice Center, Amnesty International had raised concerns over the disappearance of the human rights defender who went missing on Wednesday last week.

Caroline Mwatha disappeared from her home in Dandora under unclear circumstances.  Her disappearance was reported on Friday at Buruburu police station. Sonko today has urged anybody with information to contact the nearest police station or the Directorate of Criminal Investigations offices.
