Iko Kazi Kenya: Another International Firm to start Operations in Nairobi

At least 100 people will be directly employed by a door manufacturing company once it starts operations in Nairobi’s Industrial Area.

The 64Door Factory, a company with Estonian roots has already commissioned its sh 240 million door manufacturing plant in Kenya and plans to start producing at least 50,000 doors on a yearly basis.

The company is eyeing President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Big Four Agenda projects and hopes to supply doors to some affordable housing developments that will be put up under the Government programme.

“This product will buttress the twin pillars of housing and manufacturing. By manufacturing in the country, the company will facilitate technology transfer and human capital foundation through skills transfers to local staff,” said Nyamu Wanyoike a director at the firm.

The company said it would source most materials locally. This means that more people will be indirectly employed.
