A number of events have been set up in Kenya purposely to celebrate the revolutionary and reggae music legend Bob Marley’s birthday anniversary. 38 years down the line Bob Marley is still remembered worldwide as one of the most influential singer-songwriters of all time.
A grand Reggae concert set to bring together over 300 Rastafarians is tonight going down at Ravous Lounge in Nairobi. The Rastafarian Society Chairman Moses Mbugua told the media that the Rastafarians have been having a meeting at Mathare where they have been holding discussions on the reggae global impact and on the Marley’s Philosophy where afterwards they will end up to the concert set to feature a number of reggae artists.
On the same, Mathare Roots Youth have taken into the initiative of cleaning the slum as a way of honouring the legend.
Churchil @Mwalimu Churchil has gone on to request his fans to suggest Bob Marley’s songs to be played on Churchil show at Carnivore tomorrow. He posted;

Last year in November, the United Nations recognized Reggae as one of the international cultural treasures which deserve promotion and protection.
