Big Cats AFC Leopards Affirm Their Committment to Bagging a Relegation Spot

There is a problem at the Den, a big problem for that matter. The question is, Who will save the dying Leopards from Extinction?

AFC Leopards, once a footaball powerhouse has in the recent past witnessed a dramatic change in fortunes as the team continues to go down and down as if to affirm their committment in bagging a relegation slot.

Ingwe, as they are well known today lost their third match on the bounce when they went 2-1 down at home to Mount Kenya United, sinking closer to the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) relegation danger zone.

It was the least ideal way for Andre Casa Mbungo to begin life as the new Leopards boss after the Rwandan was appointed to replace Serbian Marco Vasiljevic on Tuesday.

John Ndirangu and Timothy Wanyonyi struck for Mount Kenya on either side of Salim Abdalla’s goal to seal only their second victory of the season in just four days.

Meanwhile, Gor Mahia FC climbed up into third on the KPL table after defeating Vihiga United 1-0 at the Bukhungu Stadium thanks to Nicholas Kipkirui’s first half winner.

Elsewhere at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu, Western Stima bounced back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Zoo Kericho FC.
