Sonko offers free transport to Journalist burial who died in the Dusit terror attack

Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko on Friday morning offered free transport to mourners attending the burial of the late Cobra Oduor in Kisumu.

On his Facebook page, Sonko condoled with the family saying that the late Cobra was a very talented man.

“No amount equates the life and talent we have lost but we pray for strength and hope in this trying time for the family to find comfort,” he wrote.

Sonko added that together with the Nairobi Sports Management Board, they donated a total of Ksh250,000 for funeral arrangements.

The donations were offered during the second football tournament in Ziwani that was held in memory of the late footballer.

The first match was held on January 21, 2018, where his fans converged to eulogize him and other Riverside attack victims who lost their lives in the terror attack.

Cobra, was a football fanatic and a supporter of Gor Mahia FC. Until his death, he worked in the South Korean LG electronics outlet located in Dusit D2 complex.

He also owned a Youtube channel, Wadau TV, where he gave online criticism on football around the country and that of international leagues.

Cobra Oduor, whose memorial service was held on Wednesday, died during the Dusit D2 terror attack that happened on January 15, 2018, and is survived by his wife and child.

The terrorist attack left 21 people dead with several others injured.
