Which Man Utd Player Will Be Out Of Contract At End Of Season – Who Could Leave For FREE?

A number of high-profile Manchester United players are set to see their deals expire at the end of the campaign.

Some stars have the option for a further year should the club wish to trigger those clauses.

United chiefs are already said to be in talks with the likes of David de Gea and Anthony Martial over new long-term deals.

But if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still in charge by the time next season comes around, he is at risk of seeing up to seven squad members walking out the door.

According to Sky Sports, forward Martial is expected a sign a contract with United by the weekend.

It is reported to be a new five-and-a-half-year deal, which will keep the Frenchman at Old Trafford until the summer of 2024.

His current deal was due to expire at the end of the season before United triggered a year-long extension clause in November.

United also had to take the same measure with goalkeeper De Gea that month by activating an option to extend his contract by another 12 months.

Both stars would have been free to talks to other clubs in January and possibly sign a pre-contract agreement had United chiefs not taken action.

The Evening Standard reports that executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is determined to get De Gea’s future resolved before a permanent successor to Jose Mourinho is appointed.

The report adds that United face the prospect of making De Gea the best-paid goalkeeper in the world with wages exceeding £300,000-a-week.
