Tanzanian artist Darasa has revealed the reason behind his silence in the music industry.
The artist says his silence was different and had nothing to do the rumours claiming that he was on drugs.
The grapevine in town was that he was in bad shape and people would not look at him in the eye for being on drugs.
Darasa says that in the music business, there are many challenges and people have different ways of dealing with such.
Although he says that some in the music business might get involved in drugs when faced with challenges he insists that for him it was not the case
The Singer also added that he realized that his name was getting popular and he choose to hold back and analyze his performance and contribution in the industry.
Darasa has opened up following his recent hit song dubbed Chanda Chema.
The artist says that it is quite obvious that the rumour about using his drugs did not originate from his fans. He implied that the news might have been initiated by haters who tried to ruin his career.
Darasa rose to fame with his hit songs ‘Muziki’ and ‘hasara roho’. The artist assured that he is back in the game and has already dropped more hits.
