Its amazing how life events change peopl’s perceptions.Awhile back DJ Pinye confessed his ailment Ulcerative Colitis refered to as UC when he took to intagram and wrote:
Well, here you go…Ulcerative Colitis commonly referred to UC stole a lot of things from me. I was guilty. I was diagnosed with UC 23 years ago, soon after returning to Kenya from England It was perhaps one of the worst times in my life. I went from an active lifestyle as a DJ to practically being unable to leave the house. If you don’t know, UC is an autoimmune disease that causes severe inflammation in the colon, ulcers and potential long term damage. Like most DJs out here, busy work schedule can be a little too much. You end up living on less than a perfect diet. Due to the nature of our work, enthusiasm for fast food and partying and late nights is the norm.
Well this year once again he has talked about himself in an instagram post revealing that he usually reflects a lot bout his life and today celebrating his birthday he thought of his impact on people’s lives specifically those in the music industry.
Kenyan artists led by DNA had earlier picked war with the artist over his sentiments on Kenyan music as he called some of the works mediocre.
“One thing is clear, I am aware of my influence. I apologise to those who feel I played a part in derailing their music career. But I am not apologetic for the values and standards I uphold for our music industry”, Dj Pinye finished in his post.
