Kenyan artist Otile Brown has revealed the reason why his collabo deal with Susumila failed.
Otile Brown at some point had wanted to work with the coast based singer Susumila.
Otile revealed that he had written already written the song and had a tune and layout of how he wants the song to be.
However, Susumila rejected this proposal reasoning that the song did not give him the freedom to put in his style.
Speaking on Mseto East Africa, Otile said that he does not mind when someone approaches him with a song as long as it is something quality.
The Singer says that many Kenyans artists fail to understand that when someone writes a song for you, it does not mean or imply that you are underestimated.
Otile says that Susumila ‘caught feelings’ and might have felt that he is underestimated which according to him was not what he intended.
On Susumila’s side of the story, he claims that he says that people identify him with a certain style and all he wanted was to have a say on where he could make some changes.
Susumila says that it was never about the feelings but wanted to feel a sense of ownership by contributing where he could.
This apparently never happened as the duo could not find a common ground.
