Riverside Attack: How Six Brave Men from the same Company sacrificed their lives for others

Africa’s leading FinTech Company in the payments and transfers, Cellulant Limited has expressed its condolences to staff and family members who lost their loved ones in the recent attack of the complex which homed the organisation in Nairobi Kenya.

This condolence message is contained in a statement issued by Cellulant Group Co-CEOs, Ken Njoroge & Bolaji Akinboro.

According to the statement, “On the afternoon of Tuesday, 15 January 2019 there was a terrorist attack at 14 Riverside Drive -where Cellulant is headquartered.”

“Some of our staff members have been severely injured but we are still accounting for all our staff members.

“We will advise on the developments as the office complex is still under the control of the security agencies.

“Cellulant would like to express our deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones.” It said

While pledging its solidarity to the nation, the company commended the security forces for their prompt intervention.

“During this time of grief, we stand united with our country. We appreciate the speed with which the government and security forces have handled the situation.” It added

The attack on the busy mixed-use business block, 14 Riverside, located in Nairobi’s commercial hub Westlands, left an unknown number of people dead and scores injured.
