ODM Chief Raila Odinga has come out to condemn in the strongest terms possible the attack on Dusit Hotel that left at least 14 people dead and several injured.
Mr. Odinga, who referred to the terrorists as enemies of human civilizations has commended the Kenyan Citizens for being each others keeping by responding to appeals for blood donation.
Raila who released a joint statement alongside NASA Principal Kalonzo Musyoka and Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has called on Kenyans to avoid divisions of any kind and instead focus on promoting unity and togetherness so that terrorists do not find space to plant fear and suspicion among them.
“We condemn in the strongest terms possible this act of cowardice perpetrated by enemies of human civilization We commend our citizens for being each other’s keepers by responding to appeals for blood donation.
All indications are that as a nation, despite persisting challenges in regard to securing our homeland we are learning and getting wiser with every unfortunate attack Our goal should remain to completely keep these forces of evil out of our borders…
We must avoid divisions of any kind; be it region, tribe or political. Side divisions are what terrorists thrive on- terrorists try to plant fear and suspicion to create space for them to thrive,” said Raila.
“Our survival depends on standing together for these agents of doom. We appeal to Kenyans to continue being each other’s keeper and offer help where it is needed,” he added.
