(Pictures) Riverside situation after gunmen were killed by police

After Kenyan forces operated an overnight raid and released about 100 people who had been holed up in bathrooms and offices for more than 12 hours, hiding from the attackers, President Uhuru Kenyatta has confirmed that 14 people were killed in the Tuesday afternoon terrorist attack at the 14 Riverside Dusit complex in Westlands, Nairobi.

Kenya’s interior ministry said all buildings at the scene had been secured and there was no further threat to the public, despite reports of another explosion and more gunfire.Politicians, members of the public warned to keep off Dusit Hotel area until police declare it safe; operation to rescue attack victims ongoing.Mr.

Kenyatta also confirmed that all the terrorists involved in the attack were eliminated and 700 civilians were evacuated from the complex.The President said that security forces would seek out and arrest all those who were involved in the terrorist attack either by funding or facilitating the terrorists.“We will seek out every person that was involved in the funding, planning and execution of this heinous act. We will pursue relentlessly wherever they will be until they are held to account,” he assured.

showed a fourth,similarly equipped man, inside the normally tightly secured block.
