Kenyan contemporary Christian music artist Daddy Owen has recently weighed in on the big music industry debate.

Daddy Owen is one of the artists who have been in the industry for over 15 years and indeed this is big.

Daddy Owen said that this is  a cry to the media, to the fans to the DJs that they should all work together to promote Kenyan music.

Kenyans have been saying that there is no content but Daddy Owen says that there are songs he hears which have no content at all.

During an Interview at Baraka FM, the hosts of the radio show say that even though they play Kenyan content, sometimes the artists never give them a shoutout or take part in promoting their shows.

Daddy Owen says that the blame game does not help but instead, the main focus should be the music, media industry should be correcting each other in instances where any party feels like there is a gap.

According to the artist, he also says that his dream is for both of them to help each other. Throwing back the ball to them, Owen says that

If  Kenyan artists have no content then what will the media play?  He provokes thought saying that the media cannot play foreign music forever.

Daddy Owen said that they were all waiting for Khaligraph Jones to jet back in the country so as to join in and work on the campaign.

Already action is being taken as  media, music and all the involved are set to host a common meeting at the KICC courtesy of Jalango’s initiative.
