Chelsea have reportedly slapped a  £50  million price tag on an academy graduate Tammy Abraham, amid interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Ever since the January window opened Chelsea’s young stars have been making the headlines for moves away from Stamford Bridge. Of the many, Callum Hudson-Odoi has been on the forefront of a big move to Bayern Munich, and now according to Daily Mirror, the Blues have placed a £50 million tag on Aston Villa loanee Tammy Abraham, who is the subject of interest from Wolves.

Abraham has enjoyed a fantastic campaign on-loan at Championship side Aston Villa, scoring 16 goals in 20 outings so far this season. His prolific form has attracted the likes of Wolves, who were hoping to sign the player on loan for the rest of the season. The Premier League side’s hopes have now been dealt a blow after parent club Chelsea placed a £50 million price tag on the youngster.

The Blues understood that if a club like Bayern Munich are ready to pay £35 million for an inexperienced player such as Callum Hudson-Odoi, they could very well command a high asking price for their prolific on-loan star. The latest development could put off suitors for the time being, even though Wolves are known to be heavy spenders in the transfer market.
