Kenyans Up in Arms Against CS Echesa For Smuggling Sex Toys into the Country

Kenya is a country where nothing goes unnoticed. Even the slightest things always seem to get the attention Kenyans who in-turn viciously land on perpetrators of acts they consider heinous in a way they only know and understand best.

Sports CS Rashid Echesa has made headlines for the better part of this weekend for all the bad reasons. The CS has been accused of illegally aiding the entry into the country of eight Pakistani Women.

According to Lawyer Ondieki, the eight cultural dancers from Pakistan were allowed to enter into the country by Mr Echesa to promote trans-national cultures.

The Eight women were arrested at a social club in Parklands, and arraigned in court on charges of being in the country illegally.

The Women have since been deported from the Country.

A statement from the Ministry of Interior Saturday evening said the women had been deported for violating regulation 26 (3) of of Kenya Citizenship and Migration regulations, by engaging in activities outside of what was specified in their entry documents.

“Some have already left and last batch will leave at midnight.

“Investigations are still going on to establish the circumstances in which the women came into Kenya ostensibly to promote transnational culture but ended up in suspicious places,” Interior spokeswoman Wangui Muchiri said.

On their part, Kenyans have launched an online onslaught on CS Rashid Echesa and his cohorts.

From Politicians, to Lawyers, to bloggers and to ordinary Citizens, Kenyans condemned the Sports CS with many calling for his immediate resignation or sack by President Kenyatta.

“Human Trafficking & Enslavement are international crimes under Article 7 of Rome Statute. It’s also a Federal Offence in USA. Sports CS Rashid Echesa has on his motion invited International Criminal Court (ICC) On himself … His village career will end in the global stage” – tweeted Lawyer Donald Kipkorir.

‘I was raised in Mumias & went to the same school as Rashid. He proudly dropped out at around class 2. He’s been well-known in Mumias as a bully & a crook. My expectations for Echesa being CS were clear: incompetence. It therefore comes as no surprise that he’s trafficking humans,” tweeted @ken_kwendo
