It has been 3 years since the son of Kenya’s opposition Chief Raila Odinga met his untimely death at his Karen home. Despite being late, Fidel Odinga has continued to be remembered and loved by Friends and Family for all his good deeds while alive.
One person that was hit so hard with the death of Fidel is Mama Idda Odinga. Being a mother, Mama Idda surely felt the vacuum left by the death of his firstborn Child.
Fidel’s siblings Rosemary, Winnie and Raila Junior were also hit hard with his death.Rosemary Odinga decided to commemorate her late brother by putting a replica of his skull in her living room.
The Odinga Family has today penned a heartfelt message to their fallen son, someone they considered the light of the home.
“Today like many days is full of fond memories of you. A loving son, a protective brother, a doting father and loyal friend. Today is always very painful because once more it is a reminder that life is sometimes rough, although we were blessed with years with you, our time together will never be enough.
For you were someone special who was thought so highly of and we will always remember you with affection, warmth and love,” Read the Message.
Fidel left behind a wife Gatachew Bekele Odinga and a Son.
