Police in Bondo, Siaya County have launched investigations into mysterious death of a local administrator whose lifeless body was discovered in a guest house. It was learnt that West Yimbo chief, Daniel Tiang’, was found dead on the afternoon of Sunday, December 23.
Tiang’ is said to have checked in at the facility but attendants got curious after the door to his room remained opened for long, The Standard reported on Tuesday, December 25. “He checked in at around noon. He said he was not feeling well and needed to rest.We decided to find out what had happened only to realise he was dead. We alerted the police who collected the body,” said a source at the guest house.
According to Leakey Abuoro, a family member, blood and foam oozed from the deceased’s mouth and therefore suspected that the chief might have been poisoned County Commissioner Michael ole Tialal said police were pursuing other leads to unravel the mystery death.
