Akombe ready to unleash details of Msando’s murder through an oath

Former IEBC Commisioner Dr Roselyn Akombe has called out to the DCI hinting that they should conduct investigations over the death of the late Musando.

Akombe  gave her remarks following  the directive by the DCI George Kinoti who wants the court to conduct a public inquest into the death of Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru, who perished in a road crash last year.

In response to these orders, Akombe said that she was looking forward to the DCI requesting a public inquest into the brutal torture and murder of her colleague Chris Msando and Ms. Ngumbu. She also added that she is ready to be interviewed under oath.

The murder of the later Chris Musando was an incident that occurred during the heightened election period  and it is suspected  that it was linked to political reasons.

The IEBC ICT manager Chris Musando was found dead in Kikuyu  after he was reported missing.

Musando was one of the few people with knowledge on the whereabouts of the servers at IEBC and this raised more question and suspicious over the motive of the killers.

It has been a year now and the police have never given a clear report of what really happened. Neither have they brought any culprits to book.

After the murder incident, Akombe opted leaving the country saying that she feared for he life.

Speaking to a local television station, on phone from the US, moments after her resignation, Akombe said that to date, no explanation has been given on Msando’s death and therefore her safety was not assured in Kenya.

The former commissioner noted that the threats she had been receiving on her life could have led her to late Msando’s path.

She however stated that she will continue playing her role in whichever way as a Kenyan citizen. She has indeed remained vigilant to follow up on the happenings in the country while pulling bold moves to fight injustice.
