Is this a war of interest? Senior counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi on Sunday morning came out to expose the rot in the Judiciary under the leadership of Chief Justice David Maraga.
The Lawyer expressed his disappointment in Maraga, as he listed the CJs he has worked under since his admission in the year 1993.
The vibrant lawyer says that he had never practised law before a more “inept”, corrupt, tribal and politically compromised judiciary as is the judiciary is now under CJ Maraga.
“I was admitted to the Bar in 1993 by CJ Hancox and practiced before CJs Cockar, Chesoni, Apaloo, Chunga, Gicheru, Willy and now Maraga. I have never practised before a more inept, corrupt, tribal and politically compromised judiciary as is the judiciary is now under CJ Maraga,” said the lawyer through a post on his official twitter account.
However, another top lawyer Nelson Havi has come out in a response to condemn Ahmednasir for his attack on CJ Maraga.
Nelson Havi in his response said that Ahmednasir Abdullahi has no moral authority to castigate CJ Maraga and Judiciary on corruption for three reasons, of which he named the first one that 50% of serving Judges were appointed on his watch at JSC, secondly, a Judge associated with senior counsel Ahmednasir was sacked and thirdly, the Parliament has thrice found him culpable of bench fixing and corruption.
His response came via a tweet as well.
