Should Ozil move to Manchester United? Arsenal legend speaks

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has assessed the chances of Mesut Ozil joining rivals Manchester United.

Parlous says he cannot see the midfielder heading to Old Trafford as he believes he is still ‘very important’ player for Arsenal.

The 30-year-old has missed Arsenal’s last five matches with a back problem but a number of pundits have said the Gunners are stronger without the German.

He has hence being linked with a move away from Arsenal with Manchester United termed a possible destination.

“I still think he is a very important player for the squad. I don’t know how you value him, because you have got to look at his wages, he is on a reported £350,000 a week. Who is going to pay that money? I think you are going to find it really tough for someone to pay that sort of money in wages,” said Parlour.

The 30-year-old  has won three FA Cups and the World Cup as a player. But he is not renowned for his ability to press and Arsenal boss Unai Emery has reportedly decided to use him sparingly in tough away fixtures.
