PHOTOS: Kenyans flood in Nyayo Stadium to mark Jamhuri Day celebrations

In the spirit of patriotism, Kenyans have today flooded at the Nyayo Stadium to mark the Jamhuri Day Celebrations.

A public holiday that is beyond the celebrations of the date Kenya became an independent republic but also to remind us of the unity and togetherness that led to that achievement.

A way of promoting the culture and spirit of embracing the diversity of the nation.

At 55 Kenyans have shared sentimental messages on the achievements and failures that need to be re-looked so as to move the country forward.

A day mixed with lamentations and equal excitement as leaders cheer on the nation for its strength and the lasting peace.

Leaders are expected to grace the event today; President Kenyatta is set to preside over the celebrations with his Deputy William Ruto.

All former NASA principals present at the Stadium an indicator that national unity is paramount for the development of our nation.

Several artists are also on the line up to offer the best there is of entertainment.

Some of the artists who will be performing include Msupa S who is an upcoming artist and Esther Wahome who is a pioneer artist  is also set to grace the stage. This is among other Kenyan celebrated artists.
