The celebrity life is a difficult, one day you’re on top of the world and everyone is celebrating you and the next the world is on top of you cooking up all sort of stories to bring you down.
Daud Mashimo, the spokesperson of one of Tanzania’s biggest gospel artists, Rose Muhando has confirmed that the singer has been hospitalized.
Mr. Mashimo revealed that the “Nibebe” hit-maker is currently admitted at a Kenyan hospital after her “health condition deteriorated”. Muhando’s spokesperson further said that the gospel singer wishes that the Tanzanian government would help her return to her homeland where she can get full medical attention and care from her relatives.
“She needs to be closely monitored and taken care of by her relatives, who are in Tanzania. We all know that she only went to Kenya for work-related engagements; Tanzania is where she belongs. And, honestly speaking, the [Tanzanian] Government needs to help her secure a return to the country. She has asked me to appeal to the State on her behalf. Up to now, she is still hospitalised in Kenya,” said Mr Mashimo.
“Rose Muhando has also requested Tanzanians to pray for her during this hard time. She hopes to fully recover and bounce back bigger and bolder in the music industry,” added the musician’s rep.
Reports surfaced online seven days ago claiming that the musician had been rushed to a Nairobi hospital while in critical condition. It is alleged Rose Muhando’s stay in Kenya is being financed by Stephen Kasolo, a gospel musician from Ukambani region.
Ms Muhando’s recent woes touched many of his fans online, with a section of the Internet users requesting for transparent channels to be established in which they can send their financial contributions toward restoration of the musician’s well-being.
Rose Muhando has in the recent and far past been accused of abusing hard drugs including heroin and cocaine but has denied the allegations. Critics now argue that the alleged drug abuse is responsible for her health tribulations.
However, they remain allegations as no medical report has ever linked Ms Muhando to drug and substance abuse.
