Andre Gomes gives Everton hope of permanent move

Everton have been given hope in their pursuit of making Andre Gomes’ loan move from Barcelona permanent in January or in the summer.

The Toffees signed Gomes on loan after it became apparent that a deal could be struck during negotiations for Yerry Mina.

However, it wasn’t an easy start for the former Valencia man.

Gomes had suffered a minor injury during pre-season with Barcelona and that meant the club would have to wait until a month into the season before seeing him in action.

Safe to say, it was worth the wait and he has been one of Everton’s most important players since making his debut.

Now, the Toffees are looking to make his deal permanent.

Following news that a permanent deal is in the offing, Gomes has spoken out about his time at the club.

Safe to say, he’s enjoying it.

“I am one hundred per cent sure [I can enjoy my football at Everton]”

Gomes has claimed that he is really enjoying it and he feels comfortable at the club.

He also explained that he is ‘one hundred per cent sure’ he could enjoy his football at Everton.

“I am feeling really comfortable here,” Gomes explained to the Liverpool Echo.

“We are like a family and it is a huge pleasure and honour to be here and playing for this badge.”

“It is really important when you get good feedback from the supporters, you feel important and it is a good thing personally.

“I am one hundred per cent sure [I can enjoy my football at Everton]. That is why I signed for the club.
