The Deputy has been always on the fore front for preaching for the spread of the word. Apart from funding churches through harambees has also been keen to fight for all Kenyans to have access the Bible in the language they best understand.
The idea of Bible translation has also captured the President, Uhuru Kenyatta’s attention and he has joined the country to ensure that the different communities who do not have access the Bible in their local language can finally drink from the holy word.
According to most clerics and church leaders who propounded this idea started by missionaries believe that Bible in local language helps the word to reach in the people’s hearts and not the mind. They argue that the society guided by the tenets of the Bible is the ideal society.
