A bizarre moment from the clash between Manchester United and Arsenal has gone viral online this evening, involving Marouane Fellaini and Matteo Guendouzi.
The two sides went head to head at Old Trafford, in a Premier League matchup.
United headed into proceedings hoping to pick up their first win in 4 in the league, with the Red Devils having sat in a lowly-8th-place ahead of kick-off.
Arsenal, on the other hand, were aiming to make it 20 games unbeaten across all competitions, with Unai Emery’s having made their way into the English top-flight’s top-4 courtesy of a thrilling 4-2 North London derby victory over Tottenham at the weekend.
And tonight’s meeting between the two sides certainly didn’t disappoint, with a thoroughly-entertaining encounter at Old Trafford having eventually culminated in a 2-2 draw.
Arsenal took the lead with 26 minutes on the clock, when a rare David De Gea mistake saw Shkodran Mustafi’s header somehow make its way over the line.
However, United were level just 4 minutes later. Anthony Martial bagged the goal, though Ander Herrera appeared to be in an offside position before squaring for the Frenchman’s finish.
And an equal pattern of Arsenal taking the lead, but quickly blowing their advantage in quick succession soon followed in the second-half.
After a bizarre tangle of legs in the Manchester United box saw substitute Alexandre Lacazette somehow find the net for the visitors, Arsenal fell asleep, allowing Jesse Lingard to equalize from a long ball forward just 13 seconds after the restart.
And, despite Arsenal having had a number of further chances to retake the lead over the course of the final 20 minutes, this was how things ended, with both sides forced to make do with a point.
Fellaini wants back his hair
Aside from the goalmouth action on show in Manchester, though, there were plenty of other flashpoints which caught the eye over the 90 minutes at Old Trafford.

One of these came 5 minutes from time, when Marouane Fellaini cynically pulled on the hair of Matteo Guendouzi to bring the Arsenal midfielder to ground.
It was a frankly needless and rather nasty foul on the part of the Belgian, but, with Fellaini having of course only recently cut his trademark afro down to a short style, many fans were quick to focus on the ‘hair’ aspect of the incident.
