Arsenal boss Unai Emery has urged the Premier League top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to chase the Golden Boot for this season.
Ahead of Manchester United clash on Wednesday night Emery has challenged Aubameyang to continue with his fine form in front of the goal.
The Gunners travel to Old Trafford to entertain United and the Arsenal boss wants his star goalscorer to keep pushing forward. The former Borussia Dortmund man netted a brace against Tottenham on Sunday, and he is currently the top scorer with ten goals.
“In his career, he has played as a winger on the right, on the left and like a striker. He played with two strikers. I use him here every position for us. And sometimes his best performance is starting the match on the bench and then playing 20 or 25 minutes. Now, the last two matches, he has had a very big performance with working and scoring. ‘I want to say to him, and also for everyone: ‘Don’t stop’,” said Emery.
“Continue with his commitment every match working like against Tottenham and Bournemouth. And it is also important for him that he takes confidence from matches like Tottenham, not only from scoring but also he is helping with the pressing against them and challenging well with the head against them. ‘Now also I think is also the moment to say to him, ‘Don’t stop’,” he added.
