Passengers and crew have been trapped after a minibus lost control and plunged into a ditch in a flooded section on Waiyaki way, Nairobi where one is feared dead even as Nairobi rescue of passengers crew is underway.
Ma3route twitted telling Sonko there can never be a perfect timing for the matatu ban. In addition it was suggested that globe roundabout should be converted to a drop off and pick up point for vehicles coming through Waiyaki way and Thika road.

The ban on Public Service Vehicles from accessing the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) took effect Monday morning with dozens of police and county askaris being deployed at major entry points.
This forced thousands of commuters who were dropped at matatu termini on the periphery of the city to walk into the centre of the Kenyan capital.
@HomeboyzRadio Westlands is just hectic. All mats frm waiyaki way towards town are being redirected into westlands causing too much traffic than even normal routes. This new method isn’t helping anyone. #MatatuCBDBan @ntsa_kenya @Iamthe_Rae tuned in tho as always #JSHBR pic.twitter.com/OBOlDBSnZw

Kinyajui reminded that Waiyaki way is among areas marked within the boundaries of Nairobi Metropolis where speed limit is restricted to 50 kph likely to endanger passengers unlike Thika road which has a sped limit of 110 kph
Unlike thika road which has a speed limit of 110kph from the initial 100kph , Waiyaki way is among areas marked within the boundaries of Nairobi metropolis where speed limit is restricted to 50 Kph. 50kph is less likely to endanger passengers

Do you also think there is a problem with Waiyaki Way that could have led to the accident?
