Did You Miss Me? Mesut Ozil Speaks After Impacable Gunners Shot Down Spurs

Arsenal and former Germany Star Mesut Ozil was not part of Unai Emery’s squad as the Gunners hammered their London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs in emphatic fashion.

His presence was however not missed as the Arsenal team put up a dominant display against Maurichio Pochettino’s boys.

Ozil has now broken his silence after missing Arsenal’s north London derby victory, but has not shed any light on the injury which kept him on the sidelines.

The German playmaker was expected to have a key role to play as the Gunners prepared to welcome their fiercest rivals to Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

He was, however, to be left out of the match-day squad after picking up an untimely knock with Unai Emery later confirming that the midfielder had a back ache.

Emery did not however disclose when the Midfield maestro sustained the injury.

Ozil however seem to have enjoyed his team’s win over their bitter rivals and even took to social media to display his happiness and enthusiasm.

Having then been unavailable for a derby date, the 30-year-old has to work to do when it comes to forcing his way into Emery’s plans with fellow midfielders like Lucas Torreira and Aaron Ramsey Shining during the derby.

Torreira netted his first goal for Arsenal while Ramsey provided to delightful assists to help Arsenal gain that crucial victory against Spurs.

Arsenal will be looking to continue it’s fine form when it visit’s Old Trafford on Wednesday to face Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho’s side currently sit seventh in the Premier League table, while Arsenal have climbed into fourth and are now unbeaten in their last 19 games across all competitions.

Can Arsenal add more salt to Mourinho’s already serious injuries?
