pastor flies into church facebook“Ukistaajabu ya Musa utaona ya Firauni”,Everyone knows the importance of making an entrance but just when you thought you had seen it all, a pastor took things to a dramatic new level with his  pretty grand entrance into a church.

The man of God identified as pastor Bartholomew Orr stunned  his congregation with his entrance method which was the same way that international artists fly through arenas during concerts.

Brown Missionary Baptist Church’s pastor  in Mississippi, USA was caught on camera ‘flying’ into the church to deliver his Sunday sermon. Of course, he wasn’t actually flying but rather very clearly hooked up to a line, descending onto the stage to give his sermon a shocking start.

Strapped into a safety harness, Pastor Bartholomew Orr floats angelic-like over the auditorium and down onto the stage, opening his sermon from high above the crowd.

“Are you ready for his return?” Orr asked the members of his congregation as he began zip-lining down.

“He is coming again. Jesus Christ is on his way back,” Orr said, adding: “Revelations verse one, chapter seven says that that day is going to come when the sky is cracked and Jesus Christ comes again and every eye will see him when he comes again.”

Orr has been the senior pastor of the Brown Baptist Church since 1989, although many have been up in arms over the over-the-top entrance, the Pastor said that the line was already there for an upcoming Christmas play.

Orr went ahead to respond to the criticism a YouTube video explaining that no church funds were used to pull off his grand entrance. In fact, he said, the lift has been used for years as part of the church’s annual Christmas productions.

In the end, the pastor said he hoped his stunt helped spread the Christian gospel.

“There is a bigger picture, and that is Christ is returning soon,” Orr said. “And just as Christ’s return is going to be unexpected, my flying in this morning was unexpected. But we must be ready.”
