Tottenham Hotspur are enjoying a good week so far, first thrashing Chelsea, and then picking up three much-needed points against Inter Milan at Wembley.

Spurs are becoming a real force this season, as they have finally found something close to their top form.

All of Tottenham’s front line have been firing this week too, which is a great sign heading into the weekend.

Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Heung Min Son, and Christian Eriksen have all scored this week, and will all surely start against Arsenal in the North London derby.

It has also been great news on the defensive front, with two key men returning to action last night.

Jan Vertonghen started the match beside his Belgium team mate Alderweireld, with Danny Rose on the bench too.Image result for tottenham vs arsenal gif

This was Jan’s first match back after a ten game absence.

Kieran Trippier should also only be a week or so away from a return, giving Spurs more rotation options heading into the busy festive period.

Jan had this to say on his return, courtesy of the Tottenham website: “It’s been an unbelievable start to the week. Credit to the guys and how we keep doing it. We keep putting great effort in, have a great mentality and have the individual quality to make the difference.

“This is a massive week for us with all the games coming up as well, but we want to keep playing in every single competition. We’re still in every one and we want to continue doing that. We have the group to cope with that.

“We have momentum. It’s not easy to keep that momentum after the international break but we’ve done that. The wins against Chelsea and Inter have definitely helped.

“It’s important that we go to Arsenal with another win under our belts and we’re getting back to our best form now.

“It’s always a bit of a difficult situation because obviously it’s a Champions League game, a big game, but you play a bit of your own game within in that game.

“After a while you just focus on the normal things – your first one-v-one, your first tackle – and it worked. I think I had a good game and we kept a clean sheet.

“We created a couple of chances and after what happened in Milan (1-0 up before conceding two late goals) we had to keep that clean sheet. It was so important we did that. It’s good to be back.”
