Why You should not miss out on Colour Festival 2018

The colour festival is all set and you better rush to get your ticket. The Maisha  Youth team which is an organization dealing with  youth and sexual reproductive heath have announced that for the first time in history, the festival will be free of entry.

Maisha Youth being one of the sponsors of this event; have been hyping the Festival for days now and you can be rest that it is going to be worth your time?

Have you been to the colour festival? If you have then you  cannot afford to miss this; the organizers have made sure that you will get a grand and memorable experience.

For those who have never attended, make this your first by joining the team. Get social, feel the colours, get the music waves that will be tuned by some of the best there is in the music space. It is all that plus more.

This year the festival is scheduled for 1st  December  which falls under the same  day as the International World Aids Day. The event will be held at  Impala Grounds from 10am .

Colour festival is one of the events that brings Kenyans of different races, tribes, background together as they celebrate in oneness.  This years theme is about charity and giving back to the society.

Alongside the global theme, Maisha Youth will be commemorating this year’s World AIDS Day with a focus on young people, especially young men, to get young men to get up; get out; and get tested. This will also be done under the theme “Know Your Status”. This theme will serve as a call to young people to end stigma around HIV; thus promoting uptake of HIV testing and prevention services.

Colour Festival is an electronic dance music festival that incorporates the element of colour powders from the Indian festival of ‘Holi‘ combined with modern electronic dance music showcased by both international and local artists/DJs.

Some of the artists who will be performing during the  festival include Vivian,  Kevin grands and another guest that will rock the stage is  popular actress from the Rafiki Film.

Kevin Grands is a Hip Hop/rap artist, music producer and mix engineer based in Nairobi, Kenya. Famously know for his songs don’t doubt ,free lunch among other hits.

Singer Vivian is also set to give her music vybes during the event. The talented singer is famously known for her songs Chum Chum Chingi Changa and other collabos that gave her the opportunity to work with artists beyond the Kenyan border.

Vivian is a blend of beauty, talent & brains. She is Kenya’s top female artist & commands a very big following in East & Central Africa.

In attendance will be the phenomenal lady; Njoki Karu from the Soundtrack of the film “Rafiki”; Screened at The Cannes Film Festival, and an alumni of Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.

On the Decks will be Deejay Joe Mfalme and as you all know this is already lit up.
