‘Hata mnyonge ana haki.’ Celebrated activist Boniface Mwangi has called out to President Uhuru saying he was being silly in the stern warning he gave to the Ambira boys students after they were arrested for insulting CSs Fred Matiang’i and Amina Mohamed.
My take on the arrest of #AmbiraHighSchool boys. When children protest against land grabbing, they’re teargassed, when they steal because they don’t have jobs, they’re shot dead but the leaders who steal our taxes, destroy our economy, insult us,don’t anger @UKenyatta. Hypocrisy! pic.twitter.com/tzvXjQ52oy

In a video that he posted on his twitter account, he kept asking why top government officials ,when they are caught involved in corruption cases, they are not arrested or why officials who insult each other in public, nothing is done to them, no arrests no nothing.
Yet ,they are arresting students Which he termed as ‘Wanyonge’ saying they exactly know while arresting them they will not be able to defend themselves or no one will defend them since they are not that influential.
He also said that the students were only expressing themselves and if what they did was wrong he should have left the students’ parents to deall with them ,and him to deal with his Cabinet Secretaries, MPs and his Appointees.
The famous Eight Ambira High School students who claimed they cheated in the KCSE exam were detained for seven days. The learners on Monday appeared before Ukwala resident magistrate Gladys Adhiambo but did not take plea.
This was after the prosecution sought seven days for investigations.
A video of the irate learners hurling insults at CSs Fred Matiang’i and Amina Mohamed after completing KCSE exams was widely shared on social media.
In the clip, the boys said they had cheated in the exam despite the measures taken by the government to curb the same.
