Why Arsenal’s legend Smith isn’t shocked at Ozil left on the bench, Aubameyang celebrates the victory of the game on social media

Ozil had started the previous four Premier League matches and has captained Arsenal at times under Unai Emery. He dropped to the Arsenal bench for the trip to Bournemouth but the Arsenal’s forward is fully fit despite being left on the bench against Bournemouth.

The Gunners legend Alan Smith was not surprised by the decision that Mesut Ozil was dropped for Arsenal’s visit to Bournemouth on Sunday. “Well actually not all that surprised,”he said, “in Unai Emery we’ve got a manager that will pick according to the occasion and who he thinks will suit that.

“He’s a great one for studying videos and cutting up the analysis himself, spends hours on end in his office doing that.

“In this formation I think it is harder to find a place for Ozil.”

“He wants him and when he has played him he has played in the middle.

“This is effectively a 3-4-3 so if he was to play he would be on one of the flanks and I don’t think that gets the best out of him.”

Also, Aubameyang celebrated the victory of the match against Bournemouth on social media, he said Arsenal backing on winning and preparing for the next several matches.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted a goal in this match and helped his team win. The goal he scored is his 10th goal of the season, making the difference and helping Arsenal move to within a point of the top four with their first win in four games. Despite their impressive unbeaten run, Arsenal had drawn four of their last five games in all competitions.
