Gladys Wanga Or Millie Odhiambo? Raila Finally Chooses His Soul Mate

Homa Bay County, a county known to be a hotbed of ODM and the undisputed home of ODM Chief Raila Odinga. In Homa Bay, you either in ODM or worship Raila Odinga failure to which you are branded an enemy of the people.

What then happens when Raila Odinga’s most important lieutenants engage in a war of words?

Gladys Wanga and Millie Odhiambo have been embroiled in a battle for Supremacy with Millie claiming that she will do anything within her power to stop Wanga from clinching the Homa Bay gubernatorial seat.

NASA leader Raila Odinga has in the past be called upon to solve various supremacy battles within the ODM party. Will he be called upon to bring a ceasefire to this supremacy battle that might get even uglier as the days go by?

Well, some political pundits from Nyanza believe that Raila Odinga prefers a Glady’s Wanga candidature with some even raising eyebrows over their recent meeting at his Capitol hill office.

During a meeting with Germany’s Ambassador to Kenya Annett Gunther, Raila Odinga was joined by Homa Bay Women Rep and Mishi Mboko.

Should this worry Millie Odhiambo and her supporters?

The governor position in Homa Bay county is already attracting a number of aspirants who are already moving around the county seeking support for their candidature.

This is despite the pending election petition at the Supreme Court where governor Cyprian Awiti wants the highest court to overrule the Court of Appeal which nullified his re-election in the August 8,2017 General Election.

Former Kasipul MP Oyugi Magwanga successfully petitioned the re-election of Awiti at the Homa Bay High Court before Justice Joseph Karanja.

ODM National chairman John Mbadi, Homa Bay woman Representative Gladys Wanga and KUPPET secretary general Akello Misori have been moving across the county presiding over various fund drives as they popularise their candidatures.

However, the recent attack on Wanga who is also the party Homa Bay branch chairperson, by Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo raises eyebrows.

Millie has openly declared that she will not support Wanga’s ambitions for governorship over her development projects, an issue she has been pushing online.

She claims Homa Bay has got its own people and cannot be ruled by outsiders. Wanga was born in Kano within Kisumu and is married in Kochia within Homa Bay hence making her an outsider according to Millie Odhiambo.

Wanga has however kept mum and Odhiambo has only been attacked back by bloggers

Should Raila Odinga now weigh in and help find a solution to the war of words between his foot soldiers?
