From a Maize Farm in Congo to Large Tea Estates, Keter Fires More Shots at DP Ruto

Does Nandi MP Alfred Keter have a personal Vendetta against Deputy President William Ruto? Is he for real or he is working for someone to smear Ruto’s name with mud?

After previously suggesting that William Ruto has got a 500,000 acre piece of Land in Congo, the Nandi Legislator is back and this time with even more shocking revelations.

Keter now claims that proceeds of the maize scandal were used to buy three large RiftValley tea estates whose leases had expired.

Keter said greed for money and power by individuals was to blame for the high level corruption and increased poverty among Kenyans.

“The plantations belong to the people of Nandi and at the expiry of the 99 years they should unconditionally be returned to the county government,” Keter said.

The legislator said he will stand firm and is ready to sacrificed his life for the poor.

Keter also asked Deputy President William Ruto and his close allies to come out clean over maize and subsidised fertiliser scandals.

“I know the same corrupt individuals could be planning something bad against the three of us (MPs) for standing against the scheme to defraud the nation, but let them know they will also one day go,” Keter charged.

MPs Joshua Kutuny, Silas Tiren and Keter have blamed Ruto and his political allies over the current plight of the maize farmers.

Keter said he was ready to die if that was the ultimate cost for standing with the “oppressed poor farmers” in Kenya.

“I know I will be in the right books of history just like many other gallant men and women who have stood firm against corruption and social injustices,” the MP added.

Keter and his fellow legislators have already asked the Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji to crack the whip on the country’s second in command and influential officers at Harambee House Annex with regards to the multi-billion scandal.

“Farmers, you must know this: most of our problems involving maize and fertilizer have been brought about the Deputy President and his office. We want his office investigated,” Keter said.

The Deputy President on the other hand trough his Press Secretary Emmanuel Talam has challenged the lawmakers to produce evidence to back their claims.

“How do I comment on mere allegations that someone says another one stole? Let them give you the evidence then we can talk,” he said.

Do you think Alfred Keter’s allegations should be taken serious and investigations initiated?
