Former Machakos senator Johnson Muthama is mending fences with former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti.
Muthama, according to a close political insider, will throw his weight behind Wavinya in case Governor Alfred Mutua election is nullified and a by-election for Machakos governor race is declared.
Recently at a burial in Matungulu Machakos, Muthama said he has much respect for Wavinya. He went on further to say that he has never disrespected her and is ready to make her the next Machakos governor.It has emerged he has no trouble with Wavinya but his headache is Peter Mathuki who was Wavinya’s running mate in 2017. Weekly Citizen could not establish if Muthama and Wavinya have reached an agreement on who will be a running mate in case of a
by-election.
Muthama has said that he will support Mutua if Mathuki remains Wavinya’s running mate in case of a gubernatorial by-election. 
Muthama and Wavinya war started in 2017 after Wiper party endorsed her gubernatorial bid. Muthama by then was fronting his sidekick former Machakos Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala to be endorsed.
With Kiala sidelined, Muthama read mysterious power games in Wiper party that forced him not to defend his seat on grounds, Wavinya would have benefitted from his campaigns. In fact, it is whispered Muthama told supporters to back Mutua secretly after discovering Kiala who was in the race was bound to lose.
