Kisumu Governor On the Spot For Parading Fake Award

City lawyer Donald Kipkorir has joined blogger Robert Alai in blasting Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyongo’s recent award from the United Nations terming it fake.

In a post on twitter, the lawyer confirmed that a search on the website used to deliver the message to the Governor is fake, rendering him a victim of online fraud.

“Dear Good Prof. Anyang’ Nyong’o, the prize allegedly given by UN is FAKE. If you google “Project One United Nations”, it takes you to a blank website of a charlatan preacher called a Dr. James S Moore International Ministries … The Fraudster Preacher can’t even spell Kisumu!” wrote Lawyer Kipkorir

Professor Nyong’o recently received an award that he alleged was from the United Nations. The award elicited many reactions on social media. This was majorly due to a typo error on the award.

Prof. Nyongo received an Excellence in Leadership Award from United Nations Project one. Many of his followers especially from Kisumu county congratulated him for his award while others advised him to return the award since it had a typo error.

Kisumu was apparently wrote as Kismumu and the people from Kisumu did not take that lightly.

The Kisumu governor was awarded for establishing an outstanding economic development initiative to establish Kisumu City as a commercial hub within the East and Central African States.

The fete was from Project One United Nations, a non-profit 501c3 corporation and a member of the Economic and Social Council to the United Nations as a non-government organization (NGO) with special consultative status.

Blogger Robert Alai though was not moved by the Professor’s award as he termed it Fake. Lawyer Kipkorir too has backed Alai’s claims as he aslo termed the award Fake.
