President Uhuru Kenyatta celebrated his 57th birthday on Friday and Kenyans chose to celebrate him in style.
Leading the way was his Deputy President, who celebrated his boss as an able leader.
“Happy birthday to @UKenyatta, an able leader. Your astute stewardship and focus to ensure good for man and country has won you recognition. God’s wisdom as you unite Kenya and build a formidable legacy. My friend, confidant and boss many happy returns of the day!” Ruto posted on his Twitter handle.
But perhaps the most eye-catching celebration was that from Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko who posted a TBT photo of the President in his early days before the era of digital cameras.
“Happy Birthday @Ukenyatta ! Thank you for your astounding service to this beautiful Country. You inspire all of us to give back, fight corruption and aim at improving the lives of all Kenyans. There has been a remarkable change under your leadership on matters of development. Thank you for fighting for a better future for all Kenyans. Happy Birthday Mr. President.” Sonko posted on his Facebook page.
