It is barely one year since the controversial general elections that almost split in the country in 2017. People were so bitter with Kumira Kumira and Nasa hao slogans dominating the conversations both online and offline.
A lot has changed since then, starting with the famous handshake between the main players in that election Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga. From calling each Mganga and other nasty names, they’re now brothers working together towards building bridges that will take all Kenyans across the crocodile infested River Jordan to Canaan.
Things are so cool, that Raila’s Odinga’s ODM even managed to post a message of goodwill to the President on his 57th birthday, something that no one would have imagined a few months ago.
The ODM Party wishes President @UKenyatta a Happy 57th Birthday.

Anyone visiting Kenya at the moment would think that Raila, not William Ruto, is the deputy President of this country. It is like the president is consulting his brother more and more on matters pertaining running the country.
Their brotherhood has even been recognized globally as the former Prime Minister was recently appointed the African Union’s High representative for infrastructure development in Africa. It is rumored that the president lobbied for Raila to be appointed.
Congratulations to my brother, Rt. Hon. @RailaOdinga on your appointment today as the African Union High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa. I wish you all the best in your new assignment @hagegeingob @WilliamsRuto | #Mashujaa2018 #KenyaMbele pic.twitter.com/wQpueNzasW

Of course not many people are happy with ODM’s move to wish the President a happy birthday.
Hehe the rate at which Odm is looking for Uhuru’s attention.. I just hope he won’t disappoint. Ile matusi na mawe atapata ni Mungu tu anajua

Ooh, now he is the President? I thought you guys said tusimtambue? See how you set us up against THE PRESIDENT! Made us even not vote for him even when he was the only choice in the repeat elections! Muthamaki please forgive us, tulidanganywa jamaneni. HBD!
