Although the president is not known to spend his special day in a special manner , despite coming from an affluent family , his birthday never goes unnoticed by a majority of kenyans.
Nairobi county Governor Mike Sonko took to his social media platform to send His excellency the president Uhuru Kenyatta a warming message.
There is a much deeper understanding between Uhuru and Sonko ,an understanding that is driven by the desire to ensure they leave the country much stronger, more united and more focused than it has ever been.
Sonko has always emphasized for togetherness the need for national leaders should now come together to preach peace.
“It is time we should embrace each other and have more of these handshakes. Let’s focus on serving Kenyans despite our political differences and boundaries,” he said.
His Excellency the president Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta,turns 57 years today. Born on 26 October 1961, he is the son of Kenya’s founding father and first president, Jomo Kenyatta, and is the fourth President of Kenya, from April 9, 2013.

Uhuru was born on October 26, 1961 just about the time the country was about to gain independence hence his name Uhuru (Independence).
He is married to Margaret Wanjiru Gakuo and together they have three children; Jomo, Jaba and Ngina. Happy birthday Mr President!
Last year President Uhuru got a surprise birthday cake at from a youth group calling itself Vijana na Jubilee.
A group of youth have decided to go to the streets to celebrate Uhuru’s birthday. The Vijana na Jubilee, an organization of youth paying allegiance to the Jubilee administration had organised a cake party at Kilimanjaro Food Court opposite Java on in Nairobi.
This year a number of political parties have not been left behind in leaving a warm message to the president .
The ODM party , a previous rival of the president ruling party jubilee also took to social media to express their warm message to the president , an indication that they are in good relationship with the president .
