“Mchezo Umeisha,Pay Sugarcane Farmers,” Uhuru’s Strong Message to CS. Mwangi Kiunjuri.

President Uhuru Kenya has issued another stern warning to Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri to clear the dues of sugarcane farmers.

Speaking during his sixth address during Mashujaa Day celebrations which have been held in Kakamega, The President said his administration is tired of individuals who pocket the money which is meant for farmers in the country.

The President also announced new plans put in place to ensure that farmers have good farming conditions and that every farmer will get the rightful amount depending on the amount of product they deliver. He also reiterated the need of his government to revive other forms of agriculture and agricultural products that were once a source of exchange to the country.

The President has also declared that the era of oppression to the farmers is over and has instructed CS Mwangi Kiunjuri to streamline his sector lest he faces the consequences.

Also the president insisted on the need to fight corruption:

“I ask you all in the love of our great nation to join me in fighting this evil( corruption); let us shame the corrupt and refuse to honor them, let’s teach our children to protect their reputation and that of their families by growing up to be honest adults.”

The President also commented on reckless driving which is causing a lot of road accidents in the country urging the drivers to be careful while on the road;

“I and most Kenyans are deeply concerned about the number of serious road accidents including the one that recently happened killing more than 40 people just because of the greed of a few of our service men.”

The President also urged the leaders to join hands and steer national development. The president insisted on the Big Four Agenda which will make the country prosper and the citizens to enjoy the fruits of their government.
