Here is What Mashujaa Day is all about as per Miguna Miguna

As Kenya goes back in its history to celebrate the heroes that contributed to the success of this Country on a day dubbed Mashujaa Day, Lawyer Dr Miguna Miguna has his own definition of Mashujaa Day.

Miguna has cited that the 2018 Mashujaa Day celebrations should be about fearlessness, courage and integrity in the struggle against injustices, inequalities and excesses in our society.

The embattled Lawyer condemns those people who perpetuate, support or surrender to injustices, oppression or inequality under the guise of peace.

He notes through his official twitter account that such people don’t qualify to be Mashujaa, a swahili word for heroes.

The 2018 Mashujaa celebrations are currently going down at Kakamega County’s Bukhungu Stadium which marks the first day ever for county’s boss Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya to host such a great event.

The event that is being presided over by President Uhuru Kenyatta is aimed at remembering the heroes who fought for the betterment of Kenya as a country, more so gaining freedom from the colonialists.

In attendance is Namibian President Hage Geingob who is a guest to President Kenyatta who also on Friday signed a series of deals between Kenya and Namibia.

Top political figures among them Deputy President William Ruto, former prime minister Raila Odinga among other Kenyan political leaders are present at the event.

Bukhungu Stadium, the host of the event, with a population of 40,000 people saw people filling it to the brim on the great day of Mashujaa.

At around 9:00 am all the terraces had been fully occupied.
